This picture was taken yesterday on my way home from work. This bend of IL Route 60 is pretty awesome because it is wide open, giving all of those who travel on this road a great view of any cloud formations or sunsets that happen to be occurring that day. Yesterday’s sunset was pretty great, and although much of my view was blocked by trees and power lines, I was still able to snap off this picture. There are a lot of cool yellows, reds, and oranges sweeping across the sky, almost as if an artist took a few swipes of a brush to a canvas.
I like to think the big guy upstairs painted this picture just for me, so I would have something to enjoy after a long, somewhat frustrating day. If I get to drive home to this view, I can’t complain.
Always count your blessings.
