This picture was taken today at what I often refer to as my “Happy Place”. Field of Dreams, which is about a three minute car ride from my house, is somewhere I have enjoyed myself for many years. It is on the extremely quiet Molidor Road, which is tucked away near acres of forest preserve. Lately, it has been a place where I go to think, talk about life, and let off some steam via chasing around the frisbee for a few hours. Tonight was no different than any night I spend out there, as I often have a front row seat to some of the best sunsets I have seen in the area. The one in this picture was very cool, as the blend of sunlight, clouds, and streaks from nearby planes made a variety of cool patterns. After a frustrating day at work, I needed this badly. It was like I was being told that everything was going to be okay, and that this season in life is just a bump in the road before I get to where I’m supposed to be.
Life will lead you in several different directions and be a struggle at times. Just be sure you can always find your happy place.
