This picture was taken today on my way home from work on a stretch of Old McHenry Road in Lake Zurich. The sunsets we have been getting during early fall have been spectacular, so naturally I have my phone ready to snap off pictures at a moments notice. While finding a good angle was hard to do while I was driving on the busy road, in addition to the many trees and houses that were in the way of the shots I wanted, I was able to discover this opening. There are so many cool colors coming together here, and I am glad I didn’t miss it. My effort to get the shot reminded me of life in a way. We are always chasing after something and there is often one or several things in the way of that vision. Then we have a moment of clarity where everything starts to make sense again.

No matter how long it takes, wait for your moment of clarity. It will be worth it.
