It is amazing what you are able to see when you take a moment to stop, collect yourself, and live in the moment. I feel like I have not been able to do this as much lately and it makes me sad. I feel like I am scrambling and trying to figure a variety of things out. I feel like I need certain things to happen NOW and that my normal patient nature has fallen by the wayside, which frustrates me beyond belief. It is quite amazing how quickly we ditch our good habits once things get a little difficult, isn’t it?

The new year has been eventful to say the least and I feel as though certain circumstances have caused me more stress than I would like. As I have made strides to try and combat the stress, I feel as though I am in this awkward in between just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I am sure many of you have been there as well and let me tell you, it is quite uncomfortable and hard to keep it together at times. Nevertheless, I look ahead and continue on the path moving forward.

What keeps me moving forward? It is not the hope of something better coming along. It is my pursuit of a better life. It is becoming the best man I can be and providing for my family in every way. Hoping for better things is not going to get anything done. You have to take action and pursue your dreams. I have been one who has hoped for things before and not put my best foot forward and do you know what happened? Nothing. It is not until I decided to do something about it that I saw results.

What are you struggling with currently? What do you have your mind and eyes set on? What are you doing to get closer to what you want to pursue? These are just a few of the questions you need to ask yourself before getting up and getting after what you want and what you need. Do not sit on the sideline while life passes you by. Go get it, whatever “it” happens to be. When you get there, be sure to stop and appreciate how far you have come before taking off on your next adventure. Keep up the pursuit!
